There is also a Quiet Mode that cuts audio in the second and third-row speakers.

What Drives It?

Telluride uses a 3.8-liter V-6 rated at 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to send power to either the front or all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. 4 different drive modes (Smart, Eco, Sport, and Comfort) change the powertrain as well as the steering effort to offer a slightly different driving experience depending on the particular setting. Two additional drive modes are available for all-wheel-drive models.

 ·         Snow mode: helps optimize traction in unfavorable road conditions
 ·         AWD Lock: splits the power equally to all four wheels to optimize traction on rough terrain

A self-leveling rear suspension is available which adjusts the Telluride's ride height automatically depending on how much weight is being towed. The three-row crossover is capable of hauling a family of 8 and towing up to 5,000 pounds.
